I hope you like it.  Please leave a comment and let me know what you think....

Also don't you just love my new blog layout.  A very good friend of mine did it for me.  She has some blog layouts over on her blog if you would like to check them out here

Heart of my heart

Whew!!! The mad rush is over...back to card making time now...I love Christmas but by the time it is here and over I am ready for it to be over.....
Here is a floral 3-D that I thought was very delicate looking. I used my hearts cuttlebug folder on my background with the flowers nestled on a heart shaped lace doily. The satin bow was pre-made--a package of 12 for a dollar at a local dollar store. Can't beat that huh.

Thanks for stopping by and would love to hear from you if you have the time or fancy leaving me a message.

So for now I am going to go my pinky inky. I ready to get back to my rubber stamping.....

Winter Wonderland

Hello All.....How is everyone tonight. I called this entry Winter Wonderland...It truly does look like a Winter Wonderland. Did you all know that was the nickname for this great state of Michigan that I live in....If you noticed on my blog as I am adding this card anyway, we have a balmy 18 degrees.....Brr!!!!!!!
This first view is from the front and the bottom one is a side few to show you how many layers there is. It was a fun, but easy card to do.
Doesn't the blue make you feel like it is cold?

Well hope you enjoyed my edition for today, if so I would love to here from you.
Thanks for stopping by and remember

Thank you Rita

I received this award from one of my very near and dear friends Rita- be sure to check out her block as she has some cool stuff on there. I have known Rita for a couple years now when I joined her yahoo group Crafty Card Creators and over the last year we have become very close. Thank you for being such a great friend and for thinking of me for this award.

But there are some things I must to do receive this illstrious award--some rules to keep it growing:

1. Copy picture and post on your blog.
2. Thank the person who gave it to you and link to their blog.
3. Write 7 things about yourself that we do not know.

1. I am a breast cancer survivor.

2. I am the oldest of 9 children

3. I was born in Alabama, but grew up in Michigan and have stayed here.

4. I have been married 3 times---I finally have met and married Mr Right.

5. I have done all kinds of crafts--from sewing, to ceramics, to woodwork, but I love card making and rubber stamping the most.

6. I have more on-line friends-than ones who live local.

7. I don't have PSP on my computer---and that is a bummer

Now here is my 5 ladies I am passing this award on too.

Danielle-- Danielle is a dear sweet friend that I have met online on a yahoo group that I belong too..

Julie--Julie is a sweet and thoughtful friend from another yahoo group--she always has the kindest things to say to people and you can just tell she wears her heart on her sleeve. Check out her birdhouses on her blog--Awesome

Penny--Penny is always there to cheer you up when you are down, and to help you over rough roads. She is an amazing artist--just check her blog

Diann--Diann is another very thoughtful, kind person--always there when you need her. Another great blog to check out

Marianne--Marianne---Wow what can I say.....I have known Marianne for a long long time...We have been on lots of yahoo groups together--and she is another awesome artist....

All of these ladies have awesome blogs, and are truly great on-line friends....I love chatting with Rita and Marianne via the telephone--they are the only ones so far I have chatted with....at least out of these ladies...There were others I would like to have sent the award to but Rita beat me to it (lol)

So Thank you again Rita from the bottom of my heart....
Love ya girl

It isn't long now til the big day, so thought I would send you a pic of the jolly ole guy himself along with his better half (lol)

Well all my Christmas cards are done, and ready to go out in the mail in the AM....so from here on out I will try to be doing one Christmas card a week.....that way I will have enough come next December.....I have at least one more Christmas one to post---but have to wait for a very dear friend to receive it first--then I will post it on my blog....
It is now time to start thinking about general cards again, and Valentine's Day will be here before you know----Oh know (gasp) I am sounding like the retail stores hurrying along the holidays. (lol)

Well, if you chose to take a peek and would like to leave a little love I would love it..
Have a great week---and hey
Let's keep those pinkies inky....

Santa checking his list

Good Evening Everyone
Boy has the last couple days been busy ones.
I think I have enough Christmas cards made now--so now to get them addressed and ready to go. I know I am not sending as many this year--what with the cost of postage and the economy the way it is.
Anyway this is another 3-d card I did--and I really liked it---some browns etc--not the regular reds and greens. I like to be a little different.
Let me know what you think if you have time...but most importantly enjoy.

3-D Bloxx

Hey It is Friday!!!!
This is a 3-d but done a little different. It is called Bloxx. You cut a lot of little squares and layer them with 3d tape so the card is 3-d....It was different and fun to do.

I got Pansies on my mind

Must be a Pansy kind of day. These last couple days as I took our little shitzu out to go potty I noticed my little johnny jump pansies just blooming away--mid November, this is Michigan folks. They looked so pretty. I needed to make a birthday card for a lady on a yahoo group I am on so decided to do this 3-d pansy card. I hope she will like it.
Another funny thing was my dear friend Rita did a pansy card on her blog today...how cool was that...great minds think a like. You can check hers out at HERE.
Please if you have a notion let me know what ya think. I think it turned out quite elegant.
So till next time

Antoher fall card

Hello---Wow 2 days in a row for me--maybe I am finally getting back in the groove. Here is a card I made for a swap on a 3-d group I belong too. I used a 3-d image I got from someone on one of the groups--don't ask-cuz I can't remember where (lol)
The background paper was from the fall DCVW pack I bought from Jo-Anns, ribbon unknown, but Michael's I think, I don't know how some of these gals keep track of where everything came from.
Anyway hope you like my addition tonight...Let me know

As always Let's get those pinkies inky (I need to do that)

I am here

Hello Ladies
Sorry I have been missing in action. It has been a terrible month....First I had pneumonia....and I was just getting over that, and we got a call and had to rush to Alabama, where my Dad had stints put in...they send him home fine, and 20 mins after he got home, he had severe chest pains, and they rushed him back to the hospital where he passed away.
The weather down there was rainy and wet--I managed to get thru the funeral etc, but then I came down with breathing problems--went to ER down there, they did not keep me, but I got no better ---we fianlly toughed it out and made it home, where I went to ER andthey admitted me and I spent 4 days there. I am finally beginning to feel partly human again---not the greatest, but can motivate.
Any way here is a card I did before I went, hope you enjoy it.
Good to be back on....Thanks to all who sent cards and emails etc.

Mostly White

Wow...It has been a while since I lasted posted.
I want to share with you tonight a card I did and love the way it turned out. I usually use much more color, but I have two friends who inspired me to try more white. They do awesome white cards....You can check out Deloris's work here .
And Jennie's work here.
The stamp is a really old one from PSX 1990 but I still love it
Hope you like it

Cardinal in the Snow

Hi Everybody
Well I finally have got something to add to my blog. I ended up sick this week so haven't had much done. I colored this cardinal last night with my Bic markers of course (lol) and punched him out with a Marvy punch. He is a Northwood's stamp--and I think the saying below was also Northwood's but not postive on that. Anyway hope you enjoy. I am going to go do my inhaler and get ready for bed. Dc says I have peunomia--wich I am sure that is spelled wrong.

Anyway go get those pinkies and inky and have a good night and a wonderful weekend.

More of the Michigan Color Tour

This is a view of Houghton Lake. Doesn't it look so calming and serene.
Another view of the lake
A good close up of the trees I managed to capture during the drive.
This one shows some color in the distance.
As well as this one
Another one of Judy and I at the rest area. For some reason she thought she needed Fred's cane.
This one is from the other side of the rock. If you look down you can see how high up we were as the cards are parked way down below
Now I see why Judy wanted Fred's cane. Look after I took her with me--she is going to beat me with the cane. (lol)
Well I think that is the end of our color tour. I only took 67 pictures (lol) I tried to share the best with you.

Now to go get my pinkies inky...
Love to hear what you thought of our beautiful north country...

A Color Tour of Michigan

This picture is Houghton Lake , Michigan across from Arnies Arts and Crafts. Isn't that red tree beautiful?
This is a rest area just before you get to West Branch, Michigan. I think it is the prettiest rest area along the trip up north. This is Judy (my sister) and I against the big rock on the hill. We went to Arnies in Houghton Lake. The craft store is like a city block long, and yes girls they do sell on line. You can find them here.
This is a picture of the trees from kind of down at the base of the hill looking up
This one I took looking straight up into the trees
This one was focusing up and out.
This is the entrance road to the rest area. I will try to share some more pictures tomorrow....
Just thought I would let ya'll see Michigan in all its glory...
Hope you enjoyed your tour...Please come again.
Now it is time to go get our pinkies inky again.
