Music for the Heart

I am hosting a Valentine image swap on one of my Yahoo groups and this is one of the images I have included in my swap.  It is from Northwoods (one of my favorite companies) colored with Sharpies and Bics  (my favorite method of coloring.)
I hope you like it.  Please leave a comment and let me know what you think....

Also don't you just love my new blog layout.  A very good friend of mine did it for me.  She has some blog layouts over on her blog if you would like to check them out here

As always  Let's keep those pinkies inky

Heart of my heart

Whew!!! The mad rush is over...back to card making time now...I love Christmas but by the time it is here and over I am ready for it to be over.....
Here is a floral 3-D that I thought was very delicate looking. I used my hearts cuttlebug folder on my background with the flowers nestled on a heart shaped lace doily. The satin bow was pre-made--a package of 12 for a dollar at a local dollar store. Can't beat that huh.

Thanks for stopping by and would love to hear from you if you have the time or fancy leaving me a message.

So for now I am going to go my pinky inky. I ready to get back to my rubber stamping.....

Winter Wonderland

Hello All.....How is everyone tonight. I called this entry Winter Wonderland...It truly does look like a Winter Wonderland. Did you all know that was the nickname for this great state of Michigan that I live in....If you noticed on my blog as I am adding this card anyway, we have a balmy 18 degrees.....Brr!!!!!!!
This first view is from the front and the bottom one is a side few to show you how many layers there is. It was a fun, but easy card to do.
Doesn't the blue make you feel like it is cold?

Well hope you enjoyed my edition for today, if so I would love to here from you.
Thanks for stopping by and remember

Thank you Rita

I received this award from one of my very near and dear friends Rita- be sure to check out her block as she has some cool stuff on there. I have known Rita for a couple years now when I joined her yahoo group Crafty Card Creators and over the last year we have become very close. Thank you for being such a great friend and for thinking of me for this award.

But there are some things I must to do receive this illstrious award--some rules to keep it growing:

1. Copy picture and post on your blog.
2. Thank the person who gave it to you and link to their blog.
3. Write 7 things about yourself that we do not know.

1. I am a breast cancer survivor.

2. I am the oldest of 9 children

3. I was born in Alabama, but grew up in Michigan and have stayed here.

4. I have been married 3 times---I finally have met and married Mr Right.

5. I have done all kinds of crafts--from sewing, to ceramics, to woodwork, but I love card making and rubber stamping the most.

6. I have more on-line friends-than ones who live local.

7. I don't have PSP on my computer---and that is a bummer

Now here is my 5 ladies I am passing this award on too.

Danielle-- Danielle is a dear sweet friend that I have met online on a yahoo group that I belong too..

Julie--Julie is a sweet and thoughtful friend from another yahoo group--she always has the kindest things to say to people and you can just tell she wears her heart on her sleeve. Check out her birdhouses on her blog--Awesome

Penny--Penny is always there to cheer you up when you are down, and to help you over rough roads. She is an amazing artist--just check her blog

Diann--Diann is another very thoughtful, kind person--always there when you need her. Another great blog to check out

Marianne--Marianne---Wow what can I say.....I have known Marianne for a long long time...We have been on lots of yahoo groups together--and she is another awesome artist....

All of these ladies have awesome blogs, and are truly great on-line friends....I love chatting with Rita and Marianne via the telephone--they are the only ones so far I have chatted with....at least out of these ladies...There were others I would like to have sent the award to but Rita beat me to it (lol)

So Thank you again Rita from the bottom of my heart....
Love ya girl

Now
Let's get our pinkies inky

Something besides Christmas

Hello Everyone---Yes I have run behind again. This is a card I have made my granddaughter for her birthday on January 7th
It was fun to make after all the C-mas cards...but my cards are all out in the mail now, and my wrapping is all done....unless I have an emergency where I have to get something else.
Now I can sit back and relax a bit, do a little C-mas baking etc.
Oops I do have to finish the gifts for the two little granddaughters to give to there teachers. I am wrapping mini Hershey bars for that....Almost got one set done. (lol)
Have a great evening--and Thanks for stopping by....

Mr and Mrs Claus

Well it is late Sunday evening---The weekend is over, and back to work for many of you....Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

It isn't long now til the big day, so thought I would send you a pic of the jolly ole guy himself along with his better half (lol)

Well all my Christmas cards are done, and ready to go out in the mail in the AM....so from here on out I will try to be doing one Christmas card a week.....that way I will have enough come next December.....I have at least one more Christmas one to post---but have to wait for a very dear friend to receive it first--then I will post it on my blog....
It is now time to start thinking about general cards again, and Valentine's Day will be here before you know----Oh know (gasp) I am sounding like the retail stores hurrying along the holidays. (lol)

Well, if you chose to take a peek and would like to leave a little love I would love it..
Have a great week---and hey
Let's keep those pinkies inky....
A couple of friends already told me they have had inky fingers this week following the Tim Holtz Christmas tags....
